Axolotl

Do not get carried away by the name. It is just a jargon but simply this one is called as "Mexican Mole Salamanders". This species arises from the ponds and lakes underlying Mexico City and is also called Ajolote.

Axolotls are widely used in the Scientific Researches because they are capable of rejuvenating most of its body parts, ease of reproduction and big embryos.

They are usually kept as pets in the United States, Great Britain, Australia, Japan and other countries. They are also sold under the name "wooper looper" in Japan.
